Braving the Zoo
Iowa State Fair
We had two heifers that Faith showed at the state fair this year. The kids and I went over for one day and it rained the WHOLE day!
Faith and Annabelle
Grandma Ruth, Wade and Lila in the cattle barn
Wade and his pal Suzie. Wade helped Luke almost every morning washing the heifers, leading them around in the farm and putting them in the cooler room. He can tell you everything you would want to know about cattle and the farm!

Wade

Wade has had a blast this summer! Most mornings he helps Luke down at the farm washing the cattle and leading them around (he's not scared of anything!!). He's also had fun going to the pool and has become a really good swimmer...he puts his head underwater, jumps off the side by himself and likes to go to the deep end. He starts preschool in 1 1/2 weeks and will be going 2 days a week this year.
Lila
Norah
Norah is now 5 months old! She continues to be such a happy baby and loves Wade and Lila. She's now eating cereal, fruits and vegetables and hasn't eaten anything she doesn't like. She sleeps from 8:00 until 7:00 in the morning and most mornings we have to wake her up! She has perfected rolling over from her back to her stomach. She babbles constantly and is quite loud so she can be heard through all the chaos!

Norah's Baptism
Updated Pictures
Norah is getting so big! She is getting more and more smiley all the time and is sleeping through the night (10pm to usually 6am)! We couldn't ask for a better baby.
Wade, still the proud big brother. He usually goes about and does his own thing but every once and awhile he'll want to hold his sister, for just a moment!
Luke with his 2 turkeys he shot this season...he was pretty excited about it!!

All 3 kids....impossible!

Never a Dull Moment
Norah was admitted to Children's Hospital on Thursday evening due to RSV (a respiratory virus) and dehydration. We were able to come home yesterday and she is doing much better!! The rest of us have colds as well so it's no wonder that she caught something too.
Dozer moved to a new home today. It was a tough decision for Luke and me but with the number of times he was getting off his leash or the kids letting him out the door, he was starting to cause trouble in the neighborhood. He likes so much attention and with 3 kids, he wasn't getting a whole lot either. We are fortunate that Luke's cousin, Molly, has found him a good home. He will be moving to a farm with even more room to roam around and a little girl that loves dogs. He will most definitely be missed.
On a positive note, we have found a nanny that will be with us 3 days a week until this fall. We are excited to have found someone that the kids like and will have fun with going to the pool, zoo and library this summer!
Hopefully things will start getting back to normal around here and we all start feeling better!

Happy Birthday to Wade!
Wade turned 3 years old on April 5th! We had two birthday celebrations at Easter this year and he had so much fun.
Happy Birthday Wade!
Great Uncle Steve wishing Wade a happy birthday after he blew out his candles.
Lila savoring every bite of her cupcake...needless to say the dress didn't end up with any chocolate on it, just her face :)!!

Allysen giving some love to baby Norah.
Wade playing with his new disc. He loves anything having to do with the farm and has such a great imagination! He has been enjoying going down to the farm all the time since I've been home and playing with Grandma Ruth's tractor collection!!
Wade's second birthday celebration with a farm cake! Wade and Lila blew out the candles lots of times!
The day of Wade's birthday we ventured to the zoo. Wade said his favorite thing on that visit was the fish...who knows what it will be next time??

While at the zoo we ran into Alyssa and Maggie and their kids enjoying Easter break!
