We're Back!!

Wade is growing up so much! We've just noticed in the last week that all his shirts are getting too short!! He loves going to the farm with Luke (and copying everything he does...yikes!), scooping snow, playing with all his tractors and hay trailer, going to school once a week and painting. He can't keep a secret at all...so don't ask him what the name of the baby is!!!

Wade and Lila have become pretty good pals...most of the time. They both want to be doing what the other is and are excited about Baby Spencer...especially Lila. She loves to give my tummy kisses. They both claim they're going to be a big help! Baby Spencer will be here in about 6 weeks!

Lila is Miss Independent! She loves to dress herself (as you can see in the picture), go potty in the potty chair, talk on the phone, play with her babies and is learning more and more words every week. She has quite the personality and makes us laugh every day with her silly expressions.

Merry Christmas!

Godfather Pat made a stop at our house! Thanks for the Yankee shirt and hat!! Lila absolutely loved Pat...Wade is still up in the air!

Celebrating with Grandma and Grandpa Plumb the day after Christmas since the roads were still bad. Here's Wade helping Grandpa open one of his gifts.

Lila whipping up some food with her new kitchen set!

Wade and Daddy playing with the new train set!

At the Spencer's on Christmas Eve despite the horrible weather! The power went out for about 2 hours but we still enjoyed good food, company and lots of presents. Thank you to everyone!!

I was snowed in from work the day before Christmas Eve so we decided to make some Christmas sugar cookies...I had forgotten how much time they take!

Visiting Santa at Bass Pro Shop. The only thing that Wade wanted for Christmas was a real pig! Unfortunately he never made it to our house Christmas morning. We thought for sure with everything else that Wade got he would forget about it...nope!! The first thing out of his mouth that morning was "Santa didn't bring my piggy!"

Happy Halloween!

Wade, the cowboy and Lila, the pumpkin. As you can see, Lila is already digging into the suckers...they both LOVE sweets!

Luke and I had a carving contest...I think you can tell you won?!?!?

At first Wade and Lila weren't so sure about carving pumpkins, but by the end they were both trying to eat the slime!! Ewwwww :)

One last glimpse of summer

Unfortunatley, I think fall/winter is here to stay! Here's some pictures taken last month enjoying the swingset.

Lila has mastered the swingset...she can climb up and go down the slide all by herself!

Wade would stay outside all day if he could...rain or shine! He has also found a new love for pigs and is the only thing on his Christmas list!! I think Luke has created a little farm boy :)
A rare moment!

Brrrr....it's cold outside!

On Friday night we got about 3 inches of snow!! The kids were outside first thing in the morning...all bundled up! Wade loves the snow..he told me it tastes like macaroni and cheese :) and Lila didn't last too long because she didn't want her mittens on.

Good thing we bought winter coats last week!

I have a feeling it's going to be hard to keep Wade inside this winter...he loves the snow!!

Family Pictures

So I've been slacking on the blog lately but here are our photos from our family pictures taken a few weeks ago. If anyone is looking to have pictures taken, we loved the photographer....she was so easy to work with and the kids loved her!! She brought a lot of great props too.

Can't Keep Up!!

July has come and gone...I can't believe it's already August!! I've been without my camera for much of the month since Luke has been busy taking pictures of baby calves. So I thought I would share a few....

Faith's steer that she showed at Harrison County Fair...she did a great job! She won her division and also Champion Showmanship...quite the accomplishment for her first year!

Luke thinks Lila looks alot like Wade in this picture. She's turning into such a fun little girl...she's never far from her brother and likes all the things he does! I'm still hoping there's baby dolls and girly things in her future!!

I love my sister so much that I like to squeeze her as hard as I can....eekkkk!

4th of July Fun

We had an enjoyable 4th of the July weekend. We went to the Logan Parade and Wade and Lila had a fun time! Wade wasn't quite sure what to do at the beginning but he quickly got the hang of it...he couldn't catch candy fast enough the pace he was eating it at!
Wade's favorite....the ducks!!

Grandpa, is that candy for you or Wade?!?!

Lila catching a quick nap during the parade...we're not quite sure how she managed that with all the loud noises (she's not a very sound sleeper!!).

Grandma Ruth making a special stop to drop off yummy candy for the kids!

Where did June go?

The summer is flying by! It has been a hectic month with traveling for work in June to Minneapolis and Norfolk, NE, busy weekends and being outside whenever we can. The kids have both hit 2 big milestones this month as well...Wade is potty trained and Lila is walking!! Hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July! Here's a couple of photos from the month...

There's a little dirt pile by the landing of our deck that Wade enjoys playing with his loaders and tractors in. Once in awhile he even lets Lila join in to play. (And yes, Wade has no shorts on...he hasn't quite mastered that he needs to put his pants back on after he goes potty...we'll work on that one :)

I think it's safe to say that Lila loves corn on the cob!

Snuggling with Daddy

The Pond

Last Sunday evening the kids and I visited the pond for the first time. It's a 5 acre pond located in one of Grandpa Ed's developments. The setting is beautiful and we had a fun time trying to watch Daddy catch a fish :)

Needless to say, Luke never caught a fish. It was quite a sight watching him get around in this boat!

Bye, bye Daddy

The new backyard hangout

The slide is super fast...it's been fun to watch all the adults try it out!

Lila's new favorite spot...the swing! The first night we got it up she sat in the swing for over a hour!

Our little monkey has already mastered the rock wall!

Lila's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to You! Lila's first cake attempt didn't go so well so after a nap we did a "do-over!" Needless to say she was a much happier girl :)

Lila's fancy Luau Cake

Hmmm.....I'm not so sure about this.

Where's Lila? Faith, Allysen and Wade digging in on Lila's leftover cake!

I gotcha ya! We lucked out and had great weather despite the weathermen saying there was a chance of rain all weekend.

Wheeee!

The men went around the neighborhood playing bocce ball.

Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Lila's 1st birthday!
