Can't Keep Up!!

July has come and gone...I can't believe it's already August!! I've been without my camera for much of the month since Luke has been busy taking pictures of baby calves. So I thought I would share a few....

Faith's steer that she showed at Harrison County Fair...she did a great job! She won her division and also Champion Showmanship...quite the accomplishment for her first year!

Luke thinks Lila looks alot like Wade in this picture. She's turning into such a fun little girl...she's never far from her brother and likes all the things he does! I'm still hoping there's baby dolls and girly things in her future!!

I love my sister so much that I like to squeeze her as hard as I can....eekkkk!

4th of July Fun

We had an enjoyable 4th of the July weekend. We went to the Logan Parade and Wade and Lila had a fun time! Wade wasn't quite sure what to do at the beginning but he quickly got the hang of it...he couldn't catch candy fast enough the pace he was eating it at!
Wade's favorite....the ducks!!

Grandpa, is that candy for you or Wade?!?!

Lila catching a quick nap during the parade...we're not quite sure how she managed that with all the loud noises (she's not a very sound sleeper!!).

Grandma Ruth making a special stop to drop off yummy candy for the kids!

Where did June go?

The summer is flying by! It has been a hectic month with traveling for work in June to Minneapolis and Norfolk, NE, busy weekends and being outside whenever we can. The kids have both hit 2 big milestones this month as well...Wade is potty trained and Lila is walking!! Hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July! Here's a couple of photos from the month...

There's a little dirt pile by the landing of our deck that Wade enjoys playing with his loaders and tractors in. Once in awhile he even lets Lila join in to play. (And yes, Wade has no shorts on...he hasn't quite mastered that he needs to put his pants back on after he goes potty...we'll work on that one :)

I think it's safe to say that Lila loves corn on the cob!

Snuggling with Daddy

The Pond

Last Sunday evening the kids and I visited the pond for the first time. It's a 5 acre pond located in one of Grandpa Ed's developments. The setting is beautiful and we had a fun time trying to watch Daddy catch a fish :)

Needless to say, Luke never caught a fish. It was quite a sight watching him get around in this boat!

Bye, bye Daddy

The new backyard hangout

The slide is super fast...it's been fun to watch all the adults try it out!

Lila's new favorite spot...the swing! The first night we got it up she sat in the swing for over a hour!

Our little monkey has already mastered the rock wall!

Lila's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to You! Lila's first cake attempt didn't go so well so after a nap we did a "do-over!" Needless to say she was a much happier girl :)

Lila's fancy Luau Cake

Hmmm.....I'm not so sure about this.

Where's Lila? Faith, Allysen and Wade digging in on Lila's leftover cake!

I gotcha ya! We lucked out and had great weather despite the weathermen saying there was a chance of rain all weekend.

Wheeee!

The men went around the neighborhood playing bocce ball.

Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Lila's 1st birthday!

Happy Birthday to Lila!

We have not forgotten our birthday girl!! We went all out for Lila's 1st Birthday Party this year...put up our new swingset (thank you Tim!), planted trees and made a new flower bed. You would have thought we were having a high school graduation party!! Obviously Lila rules the roost and is the apple of her daddy's eye :)

Little Miss Lila has grown-up before our very eyes...I'm not sure where the year has gone. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. The little stinker is taking her sweet time learning to walk. At times, I think it would be easier if she would even though everyone says to enjoy it while it lasts! She keeps on wearing through all her pants with all the crawling she does!

Have a good weekend everyone! I'll get pictures posted soon!!

Two Little Muchkins

We've been busy outside with planting flowers and watering...lucky me, I have 2 helpers!! Wade helps me plant and Lila likes to dig things up (aka eat dirt!).

Wade and Lila

After looking through our pictures I realized that I don't have many pictures of Wade and Lila together. Here is my attempt this week....

It got off to a rather shaky start.

Hmm...I wonder what he's telling her.

Playing nicely together (they both love to get into Wade's barn)!

A lucky shot...picture perfect.

Summer is just around the corner...

We had temperatures in the upper 80's this week so we spent lots of time outside. Wade and Lila had many visits to the park, farm and even went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Plumb's! We all can't wait for this weather to stick around for good.

Vroomm, vrooomm Wade!

Dozer got in on the fun as well :)

We got a walker for Lila so she could get around outside. Surprisingly she scoots around the driveway pretty quickly despite having no interest in learning to walk!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend started off with a bang. Wade woke up Friday morning with his eyes crusted shut. He had pink eye and an ear infection! When I got home from the doctor with Wade, Lila also had pink eye!! Luckily it had cleared by Sunday so no else got it!

Hunting Easter Eggs. Wade wasn't too interested...he would find one and say "All done!" He wanted to play with his new toys instead.

The Easter Bunny left gifts by the door!

Happy Birthday to Wade!

Happy 2nd Birthday Wade!!

We had a very busy birthday weekend....
On Wade's actual birthday (Sunday) we celebrated with our family. All of Luke's family and my parents celebrated with cake and ice cream. I think Wade blew out the candles at least 5 times!! Wade had a great time and had fun playing with his counsins, Faith and Allysen.

Wade, Faith, Lila and Allysen checking out the cake.

CoCo Keys

Today we all went to CoCo Keys for Wade's birthday. He loved going down the slide all by himself (I think we would have gone up and down it all day!). Lila was a little unsure of everything and wanted her Daddy to hold her the whole time we were there!! Luke didn't get to go down all the slides like he wanted to...too bad Luke ;)

Preparing for the Lazy River...don't I look cute??!!

Easter Egg Fun

On Saturday we braved the weather and headed to an Easter Egg Hunt!! The weather was horrible, the whole hunt only lasted 10 minutes! Luckily, Wade's name was drawn and he won the grand prize. It was a big Easter basket filled with lots of Army trucks, planes and candy.
When we got home we colored Easter eggs for the first time! Wade was a big helper...he liked dipping his fingers in all of the colors so he ended up with greenish brown looking fingers! I think 3 out of the 6 eggs have already been smooshed!
