Wade has worn Dozer out once again. Dozer doesn't know what he's going to do when there's 2 of them to deal with!

Walking!

Wade is now walking!! He took his first steps about 2 weeks ago and has caught on very quickly. He is very proud of himself...when he falls he stops to clap his hands in excitement!

Now we will probably be chasing even more!!

I'm Growing Up!

I'm getting to be such a big boy...I already have 8 teeth! My favorie things to do these days are cruising around all the furniture, bothering Dozer and getting into everything!!

I love to help load the dishwasher...my mom thinks I'm a real big help!

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas...we spent Christmas Eve with the Spencer's and Christmas Day with the Plumb's. We're lucky that we're all close enough to spend this special time of the year together. Wade especially loved all the paper and bows!

Night at Lied Lodge

Cousin Faith and Wade enjoy some swim time while celebrating Grandpa Ed's birthday!

Unfortunately, the Internet has been down on our computer at home so I haven't been able to post pictures in a while. Everyone is doing well though...busy as always. Wade caught a virus over Christmas so we battled that for about 1 1/2 weeks but at his 9 month check-up everything looked great! He weighed 25 lbs 6 oz and was 30 1/2 inches long. Our next adventure will be breaking him of the bottle before his 12 month appointment so we can get some relief before the baby is born!!

We also found out that we will be expecting a GIRL! We are thrilled!

Luke heads to Denver this week for the Western Stock Show. He has a bull on display and also three heifers showing so it will be an exciting time for him.

We surprised our families on Thanksgiving with the news that we are expecting baby number 2! Wade wore this shirt to share the news..."I have a secret...I'm going to be a big brother!"

Go, Go, Go!

Life has become rather hectic these days with Wade's new found mobility! I haven't gotten pictures out in a while, but thought I would give you an update.

Obviously, Wade is crawling all over the place. Luke and I are also constantly on the move chasing Wade and "no" has become a predominant word in our vocabulary. Wade has even learned to shake his head "no" in response...it's hard not to laugh! Luke has of course used this to his advantage and will ask Wade questions that he will always answer "no" to.

At 7 months Wade is also pulling himself up. We've already had to move the crib down two notches! He has become Mister Independent and has to try to do everything himself...lucky us! It's so exciting though to watch him learn new things every week. I'm sure it won't be long before he's walking...then we really better watch out!!

New York Here We Come

Wade and I flew to Syracuse, New York to visit one of my good friends. Wade was quite the trooper...he loved the plane and kept everyone entertained around him! We had a great time in New York...the boys loved playing with each other and it was great to catch up. Thanks for the excellent hospitality Cari!!

On the move

This seems to be the only way we can control Wade anymore...haha! He is on the go all the time! He hasn't quite mastered crawling yet but can definitely get around. Wade popped two teeth through last week. His first came in last Thursday and the second on Saturday. He's been handling it like a tropper though, he hasn't been fussy at all...lucky us!!

Labor Day Weekend

Wade got to spend lots of time with his Plumb cousins over Labor Day! Marion, Erin, Grace and Emma flew in for the weekend. The time went by so fast...we celebrated Emma's birthday, spent time at the farm (Grace LOVED it), and went to the zoo. We all cherished the time that we got to spend with each other...too bad we all didn't live closer :)

We all made a trip to the IA State Fair in Des Moines. Luke had a shorthorn heifer showing that got 1st in her class!! I think we were all "faired" out by the time we left until next year rolls around!

4 Months Old

I can't believe that Wade is already 4 months old...how fast time goes by! He changes every week with all the new things he is learning to do. He is also developing quite the personality with stubbornness to go along with it :) or maybe he's just spoiled!

I have the fastest lawn mower in all of Beebeetown. I can mow our yard in 15 minutes flat. Beat that Dad!!

I enjoyed my first parade on the 4th...there were a lot of loud booms but I didn't mind. I slept the rest of the day away...the parade must have worn me out!

Blue Belle

This past weekend one of Luke's heifers won Reserve Champion at the 2007 Shorthorn Junior Nationals in Lawton, Oklahoma. This was her first show so there should be many more successes to come!
